The Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army affirmed that it will continue its proactive, decisive, and deterrent approach against any threat affecting Jordan’s security and sovereignty.

The Jordan Armed Forces carried out at dawn on Sunday the “Jordanian Deterrence Operation,” targeting a number of sites belonging to weapons and drug traffickers along the Kingdom’s northern border front.

Based on intelligence and operational information, the Armed Forces identified the locations of factories, workshops, and warehouses used by those groups as bases for launching their operations toward Jordanian territory, which were subsequently targeted and destroyed.

The Armed Forces confirmed that the strikes were executed with the highest degree of precision in order to prevent narcotics and weapons from reaching Jordanian territory.

The Armed Forces further stated that those groups have adopted new operational patterns, exploiting weather conditions and the current regional situation to carry out their activities. It noted a significant increase in attempts to smuggle weapons and narcotics, posing a major challenge to the Border Guard Forces and the formations and units supporting them in carrying out their duties.

The Jordan Armed Forces reiterated that it will continue to deal proactively, decisively, and forcefully with any threat that affects the Kingdom’s security and sovereignty, while employing all available capabilities and resources to confront such threats with firmness and resolve.
