The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Ahmed Al-Hunaiti, met on Monday at the General Headquarters with Alsayyd Al-Talib Al-Mukhtar Sheikh Muhammad Al-Mujtaba, Ambassador of the Mauritania to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.During the meeting, the two sides discussed prospects for enhancing cooperation and coordination between the two brotherly countries, particularly in the military and defense fields, to reflect the strength of bilateral relations and the shared commitment to expanding partnership and cooperation between the armed forces of both nations.Major General Al-Hunaiti emphasized the importance of building on the ties between the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Islamic Republic of Mauritania and expanding avenues of cooperation and expertise exchange in support of mutual interests and broader Arab cooperation across various sectors.For his part, the Mauritanian Ambassador praised the advanced capabilities of the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army and the pivotal role played by the Kingdom, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, in promoting security, stability, and Arab cooperation.Several senior officers of the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army attended the meeting.
