Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Ahmed Al-Hunaiti, met today, Wednesday, at the General Command Headquarters, Chief of Defense of the Hungarian Defense Forces, General Gábor Böröndi, and the accompanying delegation.An official military reception ceremony was held for the guest, during which he reviewed the Guard of Honor.The meeting discussed ways to strengthen military cooperation between the two sides, particularly in the fields of joint training, exchange of expertise, and the development of qualification programs aimed at enhancing operational readiness and supporting the defense capabilities of both armed forces. The discussions also covered regional and international developments in a manner that contributes to bolstering regional security and stability.Both the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Hungarian Chief of Defense received military briefings highlighting the modernization tracks of the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army, its advanced operational and technical capabilities, as well as Jordan’s ongoing humanitarian efforts in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, reflecting the Kingdom’s continued role in providing support and assistance to its brethren.Major General Al-Hunaiti reaffirmed the strength of Jordanian-Hungarian defense relations and the commitment of the Jordan Armed Forces to expanding the horizons of military and technical cooperation and expertise exchange, in a manner that serves common interests and enhances the framework of international military cooperation.For his part, General Böröndi expressed his appreciation for the professionalism and competence of the Jordan Armed Forces, praising the Kingdom’s pioneering role under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II in promoting regional security and supporting humanitarian response efforts in the region.At the conclusion of the visit attended by the Hungarian Ambassador to Amman and several senior officers of the Jordan Armed Forces the Hungarian Chief of Defense signed the guestbook.
