The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Ahmed Al-Huneity, on Thursday visited Prince Talal Mechanized Battalion/5, one of the units of the Martyr King Abdullah I Mechanized Brigade/90, affiliated with the Eastern Military Region. He was welcomed by the Region Commander.In the presence of a number of senior officers of the Jordan Armed Forces, Major General Al-Huneity was briefed on the progress of training, operational and logistical matters, in addition to future plans aimed at enhancing various defensive capabilities to achieve the highest levels of efficiency and effectiveness.During the visit, the army chief inaugurated newly constructed battalion buildings constructed to meet the highest modern specifications and standards, in line with the development and modernization plans of the formations and units of the Jordan Armed Forces, which serves the nature of their duties and missions.Major General Al-Huneity also met with a number of the battalion’s personnel, conveying to them the greetings and pride of His Majesty the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces, and commending the level of readiness and professionalism they have achieved in carrying out the various duties and tasks.
