Colors of the Jordanian flag are the
red black white and Green, in addition to the seventh star, these colors are
the colors of the flag raised by the great Arab revolution in the year 1917.
These colors have historical national roots . The Red color : The Hashemite people adopted the red as
a colour to their flag since the reign of sherif-Abu-nama who lived at the time
of sulttan saleem Al-Othmani and the red flag always precedences the Hashemite
people in all their works specially during operations of the great Arab revolution. The Black color : The Abbaside adopted the black color
for their flag (750-1258) as mourning over those who were killed from the
family of the prophet in karbala. And their allies wear the black clothes and
turbans . The white color : The Ommiad (661-750) adopted the while
color for their flag . To preserve the anniversary of the first invasion of the
prophet peace be upon him being happy with his victory, the Ommiad armies flags
were white . The Green color : The Fatimid (908-1171) adopted the
green color for their flag. As the prophet peace be upon him put his woolen
wrap upon ALI-bin ABI TALEB when the disbelievers attended to kill him, so as
to deceive the aggressors, and that was the reason behind the save of the
honorable prophet. The seventh star : "AL -sab'a Mathani" in the
holly KORAN. which represents the number of Al-fATEHA verses.
