Al-Hiyari emphasized during the lecture the Directorate’s commitment to developing a broad-reaching, professional, and impactful military media capability—one capable of delivering compelling national content that keeps pace with the rapid transformations within the strategic environment and reflects the mission and national role of JAF. He noted that this orientation is grounded in the vision of His Majesty King Abdullah II, who has called for state media to embody the values of freedom and reform, reinforce national achievements, and safeguard national unity.The Director of Military Media highlighted the directives of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff regarding the necessity of showcasing the professionalism and high readiness of the Armed Forces, amplifying their achievements, and honoring the sacrifices of their personnel. He also underscored the importance of supporting commanders at all levels to bolster morale, counter rumors, propaganda, and misinformation, and enable military media to execute its national role in full coordination with the various state media institutions.Al-Hiyari explained that the Armed Forces’ media strategy constitutes an integral component of the comprehensive military strategy, which in turn supports the national strategy. This approach is rooted in religious, national, Pan-Arab, humanitarian, and leadership-based principles aimed at enhancing the military media narrative, strengthening national identity, promoting loyalty and belonging, and guiding public opinion toward safeguarding comprehensive national security—encompassing defense, security, and development.He added that the mission of the Military Media Directorate is to provide professional coverage and an honorable image of the Armed Forces, contributing to bolstering the morale and combat readiness of its personnel.
