The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Ahmed Al-Hunaiti, received today, Tuesday, the Canadian Special Envoy for Syria, Omar Alghabra.

Major General Al-Hunaiti discussed with the guest aspects of bilateral cooperation, coordination, and the latest regional and international developments.

The envoy commended Jordan’s pivotal role under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II on various fronts and commended the country’s significant efforts in promoting the foundations of regional peace and stability.

Several senior officers of the Jordan Armed Forces and the Canadian Defense Attaché in Amman attended the meeting.
