The C8 2025 Cybersecurity Progress, Innovation, and Technology Conference and Exhibition concluded today, Thursday, at the King Hussein Bin Talal Conference Center in the Dead Sea area. The three-day event featured extensive international participation and distinguished attendance.The Director General of the JODDB stated during the closing ceremony that the 2025 C8 Conference reflects the Royal vision to enhance Jordan’s digital readiness and establish its position as an advanced regional hub in cybersecurity and defense technology, providing a platform that brings together experts, decision-makers, and international institutions under one roof.He noted that this year’s edition marked a qualitative leap in terms of participation size and technical diversity, including specialized sessions and practical exercises that contributed to enhancing the capabilities of national institutions, improving their readiness to address escalating cyber threats, and building a more resilient and responsive digital defense system.The closing day featured specialized sessions covering cybersecurity preparedness, future trends in the sector, workforce needs, and a dedicated session on empowering women and promoting their leadership roles in the field.The conference saw wide participation from global, regional, and local companies showcasing advanced technological solutions, including AI-based digital defense systems, infrastructure protection platforms, and rapid cyber incident response solutions. A “Cyber Drill” exercise was also conducted to test response teams’ readiness through realistic cyber-attack scenarios.Concurrent with the conference, the finals of the third edition of the 2025 Armython International Competition were held, with 37 teams from 28 countries and two observer nations competing over two days in multi-level cybersecurity challenges aimed at enhancing skills in digital defense, analysis, and reverse engineering, keeping pace with the rapidly evolving cyber threat environment.The closing ceremony featured a film produced by the Military Media Directorate, documenting the Armython competition from start to finish, followed by the announcement of results and award distribution. The Dark Knights team from Jordan won first place, Land of Fire from Azerbaijan came second, and Archmage from Jordan placed third. Awards were also presented for the Live Hack competition, with TuxPwners taking first place, CAiber second, and OneShot third.The ceremony was attended by senior officials, high-ranking officers of JAF and security agencies, military attachés, and representatives of companies supporting and sponsoring the conference and competitions.
