Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Maj. Gen. Yousef Ahmed Al-Hunaiti, received, today, Monday, the Malaysian Ambassador to Amman, Muhammad Nasri bin Abdul Rahman.

Al-Hunaiti and bin Abdul Rahman talked about the most recent events on the regional and global arenas as well as aspects of cooperation and joint coordination in a variety of fields in order to further the interests of the armed forces in the two friendly countries.

Al-Hunaiti emphasized the need to unite international efforts to achieve international security and peace as well as the significance of strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries.

The Malaysian Ambassador commended the pivotal role of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, led by His Majesty King Abdullah II, in maintaining security and stability in the region.

The Deputy Ambassador and Chargé d'Affaires in Jordan and several senior officers of the Jordan Armed Forces - the Arab Army attended the meeting.
