Major General Dr. Obeid Allah Al-Maayta, Director of Public Security, affirmed that the wise royal visions and directives serve as a guiding beacon for the Directorate’s work. The Directorate continuously strives to translate these visions into actionable and measurable plans that take into account the magnitude of challenges and respond to the current stage’s requirements, aiming to develop the security system and enhance its ability to confront criminal and social challenges, ultimately reinforcing community security.

During a lecture he delivered today, Monday, at the Royal Jordanian Command and Staff College entitled "Public Security Strategy in Maintaining Community Safety and Security," Major General Al-Maayta stated that the Public Security Directorate operates according to an integrated national methodology aligned with various state institutions, foremost among them the Jordan Armed Forces, security agencies, as well as ministries and official institutions, to protect the nation’s supreme interests.

He added that the Public Security apparatus is keen on continuously improving and modernizing its security and policing system through its strategic security plan, elevating the level of services it provides in pursuit of achieving comprehensive security and providing a safe environment for citizens. This includes establishing new security centers and points, equipping the Directorate’s various formations with modern vehicles and equipment, and enhancing its human resources. Additionally, the civil protection system is being developed by expanding civil defense centers to reduce response times, utilizing the latest technologies and equipment, enabling the Directorate to perform its duties efficiently and effectively.

The Directorate is keen to strengthen this partnership by promoting the concepts of community policing, active citizenship, and professional and responsible security media.

At the end, which was attended by the Commandant of the Royal Command and Staff College, senior Public Security officers, members of the directing staff, and course participants from brotherly and friendly countries, the Director of Public Security answered questions and inquiries from the audience.
