Today, Tuesday, Major General Yousef Ahmed Al-Huneiti, Chairman of the Jordan Armed Forces Joint Chiefs of Staff, received Italian Chief of Staff, General Luciano Portolano, and his accompanying delegation at the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces.

The guest was accorded a military reception, during which a guard of honor was presented.

During the meeting, Major General Al-Huneiti discussed with the Italian delegation, in the presence of senior Jordan Armed Forces officers and the Italian Defense Attaché, areas of military and defense cooperation of mutual interest, in addition to the latest developments on regional and international arenas and the efforts of the two friendly countries to promote international security and stability.

The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs emphasized the depth and strength of the relations and ties between Jordan and Italy, highlighting the Armed Forces’ commitment to leveraging shared expertise and capabilities across various fields between the two countries.

For his part, General Portolano praised the pivotal and distinguished role of the Jordan Armed Forces in enhancing security and stability in the region, commending the high level of professionalism of its personnel.

At the end of the visit, General Portolano signed the visitors’ book.
